Christopher A. Gomez is the managing attorney in the firm’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. He concentrates his practice in the area of pharmaceutical litigation, including pain relievers Vioxx, Bextra and Celebrex, diet drugs such as Fen-Phen, Redux as well as other products liability lawsuits.
Gomez has spent more than five years working on cases involving diet drugs such as Fen-Phen and Redux, popular diet drugs in the 1990s that were linked to heart valve abnormalities. Gomez also is currently handling cases involving the prescription pain relievers Vioxx and Bextra, which have been linked to an increased incidence of heart attacks; the drug Viagra which has been linked to the eye disorder known as NAION; and antipsychotic drugs such as Zyprexa which have been associated with reported cases of diabetes.
Gomez earned his B.S. from North Carolina State University in 1992 and his J.D. from the Widener University School of Law in 1996. Gomez is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Virginia. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is married to the former Elizabeth Soriano and has two daughters, ages 7 and 1.
